The Kammerherreløkka development project consists of a new transport hub, urban square and 19400 m2 of mixed use development in Porsgrunn Town Centre in Telemark. The commission was the result of a first prize in an invited architecture competition.
The proposal created a central “Lightsquare” which formed the new portal to the town. The proposed buildings were designed to embody flexibility, low energy solutions and environmentally sound materials. The square was based on natural infiltration of surface water, low energy lighting and vegetation to filter dust and reduce noise from public transport.
